Day 1

Windhoek to Kalahari region
|
Depart Windhoek and drive south via Rehoboth into the Kalahari Desert. Enjoy a sunset drive in the red landscape of the Kalahari dunes!

Day 2
|
Fish River Canyon
|
After breakfast we start a full day’s journey south to the Quiver Tree Forest and Giant’s Playground close to Keetmanshoop, and then on to our destination: the Fish River Canyon!
Accommodation is close to the canyon. All meals are included with a packed picnic lunch.

Day 3
|
Fish River Canyon
|
Today you can view the spectacular northern fringes of the Fish River Canyon from various vantage points.
The lodge offers many activities: sun downer drives, walks, horse riding and magical scenic flights over the canyon.
All meals included.

Day 4
|
Fish River Canyon to Sossusvlei
|
Full day drive through magic desert landscapes, with many opportunities for photo stops. Arrive at Sossusvlei in the late afternoon.
All meals included with a packed picnic lunch.

Day 5
|
Sossusvlei
|
Leave before sunrise for Sossusvlei and experience the colour spectacle of sunrise over the highest dunes in the world. Visit the Sesriem Canyon.
Enjoy a picnic breakfast in the dunes. Lunch and dinner also included.

Day 6
|
Sossusvlei to Swakopmund
|
We depart and drive through Kuiseb Canyon to Swakopmund. Visit the ‘Moon Landscape’ and the ancient desert plant, ‘Welwitschia mirabilis’. This desert town with its old-world charm and relaxed atmosphere hedged by desert and sea, is enhanced by lush green lawns and palm trees.
Meals included are breakfast and a picnic lunch.

Day 7
|
Swakopmund
|
Two days are spent in Swakopmund. Take a day trip into the desert or along the coast. Numerous activities are on offer, also for the more adventurous.
Enjoy strolling through town, visiting the excellent shops and souvenir stores.
Swakop has superb restaurants in close proximity of your accommodation.
Breakfast is included. Enjoy lunch and dinner on your own account at any coffee shop or restaurant.

Day 8
|
Windhoek
|
Return journey via Okahandja to Windhoek. Okahandja is an important centre for woodcarvers from the north. They practice their ancient skills at the Woodcarvers Market next to the main road. This is a good place to pick a last souvenir. Arrival in Windhoek. Drop off at your Windhoek accommodation or enjoy last minute shopping before your departure flight.
Breakfast in Swakopmund, included.
