We booked our holiday with Jason of Namibia Executive Tours & Fishing Safaris. It was a very exciting experience; Jason accommodated our request as we wanted to travel south and then north. He chose good lodges for us.

We arrived in Windhoek and we were met by Philip the tour guide. Philip was great! We had a personal joke with the children that the tour was going to be in an old VW Kombi (one of those kombi’s that sale ice cream). We said the above to Philip as we walked out the airport” is it one of the old VW Kombi” he understood the joke and agreed.

The children were disappointed. But to our surprise we approached the latest VW kombi spacious and luxurious; this put a smile on all of us.

We traveled a lot as the distances are far apart. All the lodges were of great standard, clean, comfortable and not to mention the food was delicious. Philip just became part of our family and great company to us all.

Philip was very knowledgeable of the country, he told us about the different landscape that Namibia has. Our first visit was to the Fish River Canyon. What a sight. We went to the giant’s playground, the Sesriem canyon is very different to the fish river canyon.

Then through to Sossusvlei. This was the highlight of the holiday. It was my birthday and my family and Philip arranged that we would have Champagne breakfast at the dunes what a treat.

Going to dead vlei was fantastic. The camp we stayed at Desert Camp we enjoyed, because of its location and setting.

We then moved on to Walvis bay and Swakopmund. The dolphin outing was great and we all learnt about seals, oysters and dolphins, another great day.

We traveled north to Etosha stopping off at the moonscape - one of my favorite views.

In Etosha we stayed at good camp sites and it was fantastic to see the animals at the watering holes.

Philip drove us into the park looking for the famous Lion. It was our last day and we had not yet seen the lion. We were all feeling sad that we had not met Mr. Lion.

Well Philip went out of his way to not disappoint us. We managed to see Mr Lion on the way out. This just completed the trip to our satisfaction.

O I need to mention that Philip also braaied one evening for us it was Uhmmy.

The holiday was FANTASTIC and Thank you to Namibia Executive Tours & Fishing Safaris for an unforgettable time. We just sat back and enjoyed. Philip did all the work booking us in and out of lodges. What a treat!

First we would like to say "thank you very much" to you and your team for the good management and organisation of our trip! Thank you that you engaged Mr. Claude Thorburn as our travel guide and driver!
The best one you could find for us!! He is a very good and safe driver and has a very good knowledge about the wildlife and their habits. He speaks good German and he always took care of us. And we really enjoyed his jokes!

All the lodges were excellently chosen! Except the rooms in the Audi Camp in Maun, because they had a shared bathroom and toilet! The change from Desert Homestead to Hoodia Lodge was a surprise for us, but an excellent one! From us well recommended!

In conclusion, we are satisfied with our trip and we will definitively recommend Namibia Executive Tours & Fishing Safaris to anyone who wants to discover Namibia.

We had a wonderful holiday in Namibia and Botswana, once again thank you and Claude Thorburn very much!
